"I cannot get my link, categories or the user.php page contents to appear in reciprocal links directory."

-- Make sure you have the variable [[content]] in your template where you want your directory links and categories to show. The [[content]] variable allows Reciprocal Manager to display your directory links, categories and the user.php page contents.

"How can I change the design of my reciprocal links directory?"

-- There are two way to do this. You can either modify the directory_template.php file or upload your own custom template from within your Reciprocal Manager admin area in the "Main Setup Area". If you modify the directory_template.php file, be sure to click the "Create/Recreate Pages" link in your admin *after* uploading the file. This is not necessary if you are uploading your own custom template. Either way, be sure to include the [[content]] variable in your template where you want your directory links and categories to show. The [[content]] variable allows Reciprocal Manager to display your directory links, categories and the user.php page contents.

"I modified the design of my directory by changing each HTML file for my directory. Then when I approved a link in my directory, the design went back to the old way. Why did this happen?"

-- If you modify the HTML pages directly, they will automatically be overwritten by either the directory_template.php or any custom templates you upload from within your admin area. That is why the directory_template.php file is provided. You can either modify that file or simply upload a .html, .htm or .php template in your admin and it will modify the design for all of your directory pages.

"How do I add my affiliate link to my reciprocal links directory where it says 'This reciprocal links directory is easily maintained using Reciprocal Manager'?"

-- To replace the default link with your Reciprocal Manager affiliate link, open the rm.php file in a text editor such as NotePad (which comes with most computers) or TextPad and follow the one instruction contained within that file. You can join the Reciprocal Manager affiliate program from the link within the ReciprocalManager.com members area or from your reciprocal links directory admin area.

-- You can remove that text within the template.php file. However, this text is very helpful in letting other RM users know that you're using RM 3.0 or higher and that they can easily have the form filled-in for them with their link info by simply providing the URL to their reciprocal links directory (if they also use RM 3.0 or higher).
